As the days get nearer for my departure to Melbourne and the travelling fashion circus of the international collections reaches Paris I am thinking about fashion in a global perspective and trends. At Haute Couture in January I saw loads of very soft watercolours/sugared almond/cupcake colours. This will look disgusting in the UK unless the sun is out…………. but in Australia……………….who knows? Chanel and Ellie Saab from my Blackberry show what I mean. Not every fashion story works at the same time for every country?
Monday night in England and in five days I’ll be there in Melboune, ready and raring to go for LMFF. I have been checking the website out and there are so many names new to me to see and discover. I can’t wait. The only problem is the packing! No good telling me it doesn’t matter what I wear – for goodness sake this is Fashion Darling – of course it matters.
