The LMFF Cultural Program kicks off next week

As March creeps closer, it’s time to get your diary out and plot your way through the LMFF 2012 Cultural Program. Events begin to pop up all over the city for the entire month of March.

Next week we officially launch the program with Windows by Design presented by the City of Melbourne and supported by Peroni and Harper’s Bazaar. Be the first to see the custom creations in the windows at David Jones’ Bourke Street store on Wednesday 29, then explore one of many instillations you will find throughout the city in March. Read more on Windows by Design on the LMFF website here.

Start the month by going back in time with the Linda Jackson exhibition at the NGV. Bush Couture is a celebration of the amazing career of Linda Jackson and you can learn from the master herself and participate in a sketching workshop with Linda herself. For more details and tickets call the NGV (03) 8662 1555 or visit the NGV website. Be inspired by the colour of one of Australia’s most legendary designers.

Also next week the one of the most highly anticipated events on the calendar returns as part of the Fashion + Film series, No Home. Showcasing the collaboration between filmmakers and designers the short films epitomise the intersection between fashion and art. Last year tickets to No Home sold out in a flash so make sure you book soon. Visit ACMI for tickets.

With so many events on offer better start planning now – it’s going to be a busy month! View the full Cultural Program HERE.
